PICS Society Raises $2000
Vancouver, BC; April 16, 2010 – The Crown Palace Banquet Hall in Surrey, BC hosted Country Lumber’s appreciation dinner for the South Asian business community on Friday, April 9th. Country Lumber focused on appreciating the construction and building industry with whom they deal with. At the event, Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society collected $2000 in a cash donation from 50/50 tickets. The spectacular evening, emceed by Dean Atwal from JoyTV and Harjinder Thind from REDFM, ended with promises of greater pledges from individuals and businesses.At the event Bruce Keeler, CEO of Country Lumber, announced that PICS was his adopted charity. His company is actively involved with the South Asian community and hopes to give more to PICS in the future.
